I love this family - I've known them forever it seems and they are near and dear to my heart. Add to that the fact that they "get" me and my style. They wanted me to come out and do a session of their family casually interacting and playing. Pitter patter - be still my heart! When we got there they took me on a tour of the property and boy let me tell you, this is the place to be a kid! We went for a walk in the cranberry bogs throwing balls for their adorable dog, walked to Grandma's house by the lake and swung on tree swings made of buoys, rode a zip line, skate boarded, played guitars and had cranberry fights! I just got to follow them around while they played and loved on each other. I had such a great time and left feeling energized! A huge hail storm had passed through minutes before we were scheduled to start, and there was a layer of fog that hung around the whole time, but it made for a beautiful background! Thanks you guys - you're amazing.

Personal Stories...
This sweet family called and wanted to know if it would be okay to have a photo session that included crab pots, since the husband is a crabber. They thought maybe it would be weird to do - but I said yes of course! I'm up for anything and it's not weird at all! It makes it more fun for me. I love it when families incorporate their stories and personalities into a photo session. It makes the portraits unique to them and tells their story. I love it when a gallery allows you to get to know the family just by looking at the pictures. Crabbing is this families' livelihood, so what a great thing to incorporate! We shot in between rainstorms and storm clouds, but it turned out pretty good!
