Wow...that's all I can say about this weekend. I took a huge leap of faith and went to Seattle this weekend for a photography workshop that I found on the internet. I trusted what the website said about itself, and loved the pictures the photographer took, so I went for it. I really put myself out there, paying the money to go, leaving the kids for the weekend which I just don't do, and going all by myself without anyone! All I can say is that all my hopes and dreams for the weekend were fulfilled...AND MORE!!! I knew there was going to be a "secret guest" photographer there to talk with us, but we didn't know who until the first night we were there. OH MY GOODNESS, it was TARA WHITNEY! When I found out I was reduced to tears. She's only my absolute favorite photographer of all time. I've been following her for about 2 years, and she's my number one inspiration. What are the chances? I love her work so much, and would give anything to be able to capture what she does in a family. She was so humble and sweet, offering any advice we would ask about. She's an open, honest, genuine soul. No wonder she does so good. She puts everyone at ease with her presence. What a gift she is. I can't wait to meet her again someday, hopefully when she's taking our family portraits in California!!!
